Catherine Rowe
Cathy is a 4th generation seamstress and having started sewing at 8, she went on to gain a City and Guilds qualification in dressmaking, designing and pattern drawing and cutting. For over 12 years, Cathy has been running her own business making bespoke wedding dresses/special occasion dresses, specialised alterations, replica military uniforms and historical costumes for re-enactors, museums, The Birmingham Theatre Company, The Soho Theatre and cosplay.
Cathy is passionate about all types of sewing, from dressmaking, quilting, computerised and free hand embroidery and that passion led to her writing a book on First World War Uniform Production.
Jenny Herbert
From an early age, Jenny started sewing, which continued into school and onto college, studying a BTEC in Fashion, Design and Technology.
Over 20 years of sewing experience, 10 years of which for Janome as a demonstrator and now for all machine brands. Overlocking is a specialism and Jenny's understanding your overlocker workshop is not to be missed.
Jenny likes all aspects of dressmaking, especially finishing and embellishing using the embroidery machine, just ask her about the dragon prom dress, as well as using all her machines in combinations with other crafts.
