If sewing anything with an adhesive such as embroidery backing, fabric spray  adhesive or sticky hoop and loop, the adhesive can leave a residue on the needle.  
The new Super Universal is putting an end to this, offering industrial grade for household needles too. The key feature that sets the Super Universal needle apart from other household needles is it particularly smooth non-stick coating.  It ensures that significantly less adhesive remains on the needle (no needle sticking) and thus also helps to prevent thread breakage.
This effect is underlined by the extra large eye, making the needle particularly suitable for embroidery work. The eye of a size 70 Super Universal is similar to the eye of a normal size 90.
