Leather needles have a cutting point to the tip which cuts through leather and similar due to its cutting action. It also creates an angle stitching line, which gives a decorative effect.
 
Suitable for the following fabrics :-
- Leather / Synthetic leather /
 
NB - NOT SUITABLE for woven or knitted textiles due to the cutting effect of the needle.
PLEASE NOTE - not all domestic machine can sew leather, if you are unsure check first. Thick leather such as for car upholstery will require an industrial machine to be stitched on.
 
Needle sizes reflect the thickness of fabric, the higher the needle size number the thicker the fabric.
