Turn your Bernina 7 series or 8 series into an embroidery machine. Simply slide this module onto the machine, press Home icon on screen , tap on 'Embroidery' icon and the machine instantly changes to embroidery mode.
In embroidery mode you can stitch designs and lettering from 1" up to 5 - 6 " (depending on hoop size).
The alphabet and decorative/embroidery stitches on the sewing machine will only be as wide as the maximum width. If you want lettering larger than  5.5 mm or 9 mm, then it would need to be done in embroidery mode.
The basic on screen editing allows you to mirror image, rotate, combine and resize embroidery designs and lettering.  You can also bring in designs externally from the internet via a USB stick. 
The Bernina embroidery format is EXP. (Can also read DST, PES, PEC, JEF, SEW, PCS, XXX). Additional designs can be downloaded and brought into the machine.
