In this workshop you will learn to make a gathered tiered skirt on your overlocker. If you would like to get more from your overlocker other than neatening fabric, than this is for you.

You will learn how to construct a garment using the overlocker, using 4 thread safety seam, gathering and roll hemming to finish the hem.

You need to be able to confidently thread and change colour on your overlocker.  This workshop is not suitable for beginners. For beginners overlocking, please look at Understanding your overlocker.

Remember to Bring

  • 3m50 of fabric at a minimumn of 1m22 (48") wide fabric
  • 2.5cm (1") wide elastic which is equal to your waist measurement + 5cm
  • Overlocker, footpedal, power lead, instruction book
  • 4 threads to match your fabric. 
  • Lunch (there are 2 eateries in Sandy Park and we have kitchen with a microwave and toaster).

Provided - Tea/coffee and biscuits throughout the day
